My name is Wendy Taylor and I'm a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with​ over 33 years in the early learning and child care field in Ontario, Canada.
I am a life-long learner, with two ECE diplomas (St. Lawrence College and Humber College), an Hon. Degree in Early Childhood Studies (University of Guelph), Autism/Behaviour Science training (Algonquin College), and Four Foundations of Self-Reg certification (The Mehrit Centre).

My passion is woodworking and I love spending time in my workshop making fun, open-ended activities for children that expand their imaginations!

I use a variety of hardwoods sourced from mills in and around my area of Ontario.

Each piece is free-hand cut, sanded, and finished with Tried & True eco-friendly finishes (linseed oil and beeswax).

From stacking rainbows to Gem Blocks to Tree Nuggets, all products you see here are made by me in my workshop.

I endeavor to complete and ship orders in one week, however during the holiday season, orders may take one to three weeks.

When the shop is too cold, I can be found with a crochet hook in hand, making everything from sensory books to sunhats to stroller blankets to teethers, under the Black Sheep name.
